As the founder of How Ya Gett’in On Connections and a dedicated advocate for seniors’ well-being, I am passionate about addressing the growing challenges of loneliness and social isolation among older adults in Newfoundland and Labrador.
The recent report by the National Initiative for the Care of the Elderly (NICE), "Loneliness and Social Isolation Among Older Adults in Canada," underscores the urgency of this issue:
